About the Jamestown Farmers Market
We’re more than a market
We understand that the ability to access healthy food while building community is not the easiest thing to do. Through comprehensive and far-reaching programming, we ensure that everyone in our community can access fresh and local food. We do this through community dinners, mobile markets, collaborative programs with partner organizations, farm shares and providing better reach for farmers and local businesses.

Our History
Jamestown Farmers Market (JFM) has a storied past tracing back to the mid-1970s, when a group of farmers, producers and individuals with a vested interest in connecting the community with fresh, local food came together to form the market. This market came about a decade after the closure of the Jamestown Public Market, which had operated in Brooklyn Square since the 1910s.
JFM has experienced some ebbs and flows in operation since the 1970s, moving between several larger community organizations before finding its current home with St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in 2020. Since then, JFM has expanded its programs and services to continue providing access to fresh food year-round.
