Farmers Market FAQs

  • Our farmers market is a weekly community marketplace featuring local farmers, food producers, artisans, and prepared food vendors.

  • The summer (Main) season is every Saturday from June through November, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the intersection of 3rd Street and Pine Street in downtown Jamestown.

    The winter (Indoor) season is every second and fourth Saturday from January through May, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Undercroft of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 410 N Main St. in Jamestown.

  • Fresh produce, meat, eggs, baked goods, dairy, prepared foods, artisan goods, and more, depending on the season.

  • Yes - our vendors grow, raise, or make their products within a 70-mile radius.

  • Yes, the market operates rain or shine unless conditions are unsafe. 

  • We aim to be fully accessible! Our summer market is fully accessible on a closed down section of 3rd Street. The winter market has accessible entrances from 4th Street.

  • Well behaved and leashed pets are allowed in the market, but not within food vendor tents. 

  • All street parking in downtown Jamestown is free on the weekend and there is a free parking garage on Spring Street right at the Spring St and 3rd Street end of the Market.

  • Many do, but not all. If you only have your credit/debit card you can stop by the Information Tent to buy $5 tokens that can be used to anything at the market. You can receive cash change from the tokens and return unused tokens.

  • No. The closest ATM is inside of Northwest Bank at the Main Street and 3rd Street intersection.

  • There are no public restrooms available at the Summer Market. The indoor market does have accessible restrooms available.

  • Yes, there is seating available to eat, sit and rest, or visit with friends and family.

Food Access FAQs

  • Yes! You can use your SNAP/EBT card at the market.

  • Visit our information booth to swipe your EBT card and receive $1 wooden tokens and matching FreshConnect Check vouchers to spend with vendors. These wooden tokens NEVER expire!

  • Any SNAP eligible food including: fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, bread, honey, maple syrup, baked goods, take home prepared foods, sauces, and food-producing plants.

  • Hot food/meals, alcohol, and non-food items.

  • Yes! We offer programs that match SNAP purchases to help your dollars go further. 

    We participate in the NYS FreshConnect Checks program. For every $2 you exchange in SNAP tokens, you’ll get a $2 voucher to be used on any SNAP-eligible food item. These vouchers expire at the end of each year on December 31st.

  • We can match up to $50 per day.

  • SNAP is accepted at the Saturday farmers market, weekday mobile market, and for our Farm Share CSA program.

Mobile Market FAQs

  • The Mobile Market is a traveling market that brings fresh, affordable food directly into neighborhoods.

  • We visit multiple community locations weekly. Click here to see the full schedule.

  • Fresh produce, pantry staples, and sometimes dairy, meat, or eggs.

  • We accept cash, credit/debit, SNAP/EBT, FreshConnect Checks, FMNP Checks, and JFM Market Bucks.

  • Yes—we offer 50% all produce items to customers using their SNAP/EBT card through the Field & Fork Network Double Up Food Bucks Program. Other discounts on a weekly basis.

  • Yes! Contact us to suggest a new location.

  • We’re working on building a year round schedule! Our summer season is outdoors and runs from June through October. Our winter season is indoors and runs from January through April.

Community Supported Agriculture FAQs

  • A CSA is a subscription program where you receive a weekly share of fresh, seasonal produce. CSA is short for Community Supported Agriculture, as all food comes from local farmers and producers.

  • Members sign up for a season and pick up a weekly box at a designated location.

  • A variety of seasonal vegetables and fruit. There are meat, egg, mushroom, bread, and microgreens add-ons!

  • Visit our Grown By CSA platform for updated pricing.

  • Yes—flexible payment options are available depending on the type of share (monthly or weekly).

  • Yes, SNAP may be used for CSA shares. You will checkout on Grown By and select Pay Offline when checking out. When you pick up your share each week, you’ll pay for that week’s share.

  • Contact the office at (716) 640-2173 for a pick up on Thursday or Friday before 10 a.m. After 10 a.m. on Friday, leftover food is taken to the food pantry or soup kitchen.

  • You can select different add on options! Visit our shop to make your selection.

  • Our Farm Share CSA is pick up location is in the basement of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Our Local Roots CSA has 9 different locations across Chautauqua County.

Monday Night Cafe FAQs

  • A community meal program offering a free filling dinner in a welcoming environment and using local ingredients!

  • Everyone is welcome!

  • There is no cost or expectation of a donation!

  • Healthy, home-style meals often made with local ingredients.

  • Yes! We welcome volunteers for cooking, serving, and cleanup. Check out our volunteer page to start.

  • We do our best to have a gluten free and vegetarian option each month; please ask staff and volunteers on-site. 

Food as Medicine FAQs

  • The Food Prescription program is a Medicaid program that allows community organizations to connect patients with food and nutrition services. You may also have seen this program referred to as the “1115 Waiver” or “Food as Medicine Program.”

  • We receive referrals from partner organizations. Eligible participants will receive weekly food boxes with fruits and vegetables, protein, dairy, and grains. Boxes can be adapted to meet dietary requirements. 

  • Eligibility is determined through partner organizations and for members who have a Medicaid Managed Care plan.

  • Contact the WNY Integrated Care Collaborative (WNYICC) at (716) 431-5100 to begin the process.

  • No, services are covered for eligible participants.

Program FAQs

  • We offer a variety of programs including youth activities, cooking demos, special events, and nutrition education. Check out our events page for our upcoming activities!

  • Yes! We host seasonal events like Strawberry Week, Apple Week, a JFM 5K walk/race, ArtFest, Restaurant Week and family-friendly activities.

  • Yes, vendors are encouraged to engage with themes through products or activities.
