Food Boxes

Our ability to help the community access fresh food extends past the Farmers Market and Mobile Market and into food box programs like Community Supported Agriculture, Local Roots, and Food Prescriptions.

CSA Program

Our Community Supported Agriculture program is a cooperative collaboration with many of our Market farmer vendors. Through it, members receive a “farm share” of the upcoming harvest.

Members get access to the freshest produce and food items grown and made by local producers. Proceeds help offset costs of the Mobile Market and keep food prices low for individuals and families utilizing SNAP and EBT.

Local Roots Program

Supported by the Office of Aging Services, this program brings a weekly produce box filled with delicious, in season, and local food to people and seniors across the county. Initially designed for seniors, in 2026 this produce box expands to anyone who would like to add fresh food to their weekly meals. This 12 week program costs $15 a week, or just $5 when members use their SNAP/EBT benefits! Begins June 17th through September 10.

Medicaid Food Prescription Box

We partner with the WNY Integrated Care Collective to provide Medicaid Managed Care clients with access to fresh, locally grown food they can prepare themselves. Delivered at their homes weekly over a six-month period, each Food Prescription Box is packed with fresh fruits and vegetables, proteins, dairy, and grains. Wherever possible, the food is sourced from our local farmers and Market vendors. To get started, call the WNYICC at (716) 431-5100 or visit their website by clicking below.
